Form and frame
2020 / Kolhapur, MH
The house is designed for a retired couple. The house is spatially segregated with forms and frames to entertain and meditate. The frames encapsulate the dynamism of form. The higher road level conceals the lower meditating level surrounded by idyllic landscape. The cylindrical volume becomes an extraneous spine.
2021 / Mumbai, MH
Corporate Annexe was completed in 2016 is a commercial building designed and executed by Atul A. Rana Architect. The building is located in the commercial hub of Goregaon East in the suburbs of Mumbai. The building features office spaces aligned to North South direction allowing maximum light and ventilation. Additional 6 floors are proposed in extension of the building. The initial iterations of sketches showed different concepts undertaken to propose a façade more conscious of the existing façade, highlighting the verticality of the façade. The verticality of the extended façade is unmatched in the commercial strip.

5 boxes
2019 / Mumbai, MH
The offices, restaurant, cars, and shop in this commercial building are replicated in 5 simple monotonous boxes. Each of the boxes has an independent function and facade material. The initial sketch follows the ancient architectural philosophy of “Vastu Shastra” that responds to strategic situating of entrances and ventilation conducive to eco-sustainable growth of its inhabitants.

2022 - / Mumbai, IN
Atulya is a mixed-use commercial development undertaken by Phoenix Developers in suburban Mumbai. It is designed towards a balanced and fulfilled life, defined by place, challenging tomorrow’s workforce to seek enriched experiences and service-oriented environments. The strategic side core configuration, high ceilings and large square windows optimise natural light and a sense of space. The large square windows maximize natural light and are designed to prevent excessive heat gain, unlike traditional curtain walls.


2022 / Ahmedabad, IN
Tathaagat Infectious Disease clinic in Ahmedabad is designed as a space for healing. Its technical requirements ranged from functionality, easy all-accessible movement and fully naturally ventilated. In recent times, the pandemic initiated reinvestigating spatial design, not limited to healthcare, but the wholistic built form in domestic and other, to enhance the quality of life and mindfulness for us. With this, the focus was executing spaces catering to a naturally ventilated homey comfortable and cozy clinic.

2021 - Dhule, IN
This project studied the impact of design on private healthcare in Dhule, a Tier II city by incorporating concepts of wide verandahs, open terraces, courtyards. As cities grow, infrastructure for public needs equitable and sustainable growth.
The clinic is designed to provide positive healing environment for patients and their care takers. Strong, bold geometric forms establishes order throughout the clinic while leaving space for flexibility.
